Website Redesign

We are in the process of overhauling the design, layout, and overall functionality of our site as we look to make the functionality of our site more conducive to facilitating an inspired life. There will be a very interactive community section of the site where people can interact and seek out information and inspiration. Along with that we are shifting more focus to the Guide to an Inspired Life, with the first Volume to be released shortly.

If you have any ideas or feature requests, please contact us.

Jimmy Eats Raw Fish

Feb
06

While in Peru, where we first met Jimmy, we had managed to form a strong friendship based upon mutual philosophies and an overall passion for life. As a result, Jimmy joined my wife and I on most of our site-seeing adventures. We saw some amazing things and had quite a few deeply philosophical conversations. One such conversation took place after we had returned to Lima while we were killing time before heading to the airport.

Lima, the capital of Peru, is located on the Pacific ocean, and as a result has amazing seafood. While walking around Lima the three of us started discussing our desire to try some ceviche. What better way to experience local seafood than eat it fresh, and raw. After a little wandering we ended up walking into a random restaurant that had a sign out front advertising a lunchtime ceviche special.

Be Contemplative

"The unexamined life is not worth living." -Socrates

Life is full of opportunities and choices. The course of your life is dictated by the small actions you take on a daily basis. Instead of living life on autopilot as is so common nowadays, head buried in some form of technology, take a step back and ask yourself "Why?" Why do I choose to live my life in such a way, whether skiing down ultra-steep mountains, or living the 9 to 5 life working a job you don't enjoy?

When you become to ask such questions, you can become empowered to change your life and start living your ideal life. BE CONTEMPLATIVE.

Bonjour French Press

While a typical coffee maker is nice and convenient, paper coffee filters can contain contaminants. Using a French Press requires very little effort and can make coffee that is just as good as a coffee maker, and some people may argue that coffee made on a French Press is even better. Mastering a few simple steps will have you making coffee that will rival that of any coffee house barista.

Sauerkraut

Every traditional culture throughout the world consumes fermented foods, typically with each meal. Cabbage is one staple that many cultures use in the fermentation process to make dishes like sauerkraut, cortido, kimchi, tsukemono, suan cai, atchara, or any other cultures version. The fact that so many cultures use cabbage in the fermentation process should be a sign that there are some benefits to be gained from its consumption.
